Privacy Policy

Effective: March 23, 2026

The short version: Voice keeps your audio and transcriptions on your Mac. We collect no analytics or telemetry. Network traffic is limited to license activation/validation and optional local Ollama calls on localhost.

Who We Are

Voice is made by Enfrosec LLC (dba Faraday Soft), a Texas LLC. Contact: support@faradaysoft.com

What We Collect

Nothing. Voice does not collect, store, or transmit any data from your device. Specifically:

Local Processing

Voice uses whisper.cpp, an open-source speech recognition engine that runs entirely on your Mac's CPU. Your audio is recorded, transcribed, and deleted locally. At no point does audio data leave your machine.

Optional Local AI Cleanup

Voice can optionally use a local Ollama service for text cleanup and formatting. This feature is:

Payments and Licensing

Purchases are handled by LemonSqueezy (our merchant of record). The app also sends your license key and machine instance ID to LemonSqueezy to activate and validate your license. We do not see or store your payment information. See LemonSqueezy's privacy policy.

How to Verify

Don't take our word for it. You can inspect the app's network activity:

sudo lsof -i -n -P | grep Voice

During normal dictation you should not see remote AI endpoints. If local cleanup is enabled, you may see a loopback connection to localhost:11434. License activation and validation use HTTPS to LemonSqueezy.

Changes

If we ever change this policy, we will update this page. Our commitment to local audio and transcription processing is fundamental to Voice and will not change.
